Classroom Management
Classroom management is a key to any successful teacher. However, it should not be based on punitive actions or relegating consequences to an Administrator. It should be based on teachable moments that improve student performance and motivate students to strive for success. I believe in a highly organized classroom that clearly outlays routines and procedures. Students know what to do, when to do it, and what's expected. Fairness, respect and support for all students is implicit within each lesson, and routine for that day.
Daily Agenda
Each day when a student walks into my classroom they know exactly what to do and what we are going to do for the day. Students can see the whiteboard and view the day's agenda for that specific class. As a result, students know what to expect; what will be graded and what homework if any.
